How stunning are these gorgeous images of Jessica and Conrad's wedding at the Alton Mill by Nikki Mills Photography. Original plans for an outdoor ceremony were marred when the skies opened up so we quickly scrambled to hang the garlands of greenery on the stone walls in the Millrace Room.
Guests were greeted in the cozy space by Conrad and his groomsmen who wore twine wrapped buttonholes of Craespedia, Limonium and Lady's Mantle. Spring blooms of Lisianthus, Campanula, Peonies, Veronica, Asters, Goldenrod and Sweet Peas were mixed in the bouquets held by Jessica and her maids. I loved all the mismatched dresses the Bridesmaids wore in co-ordinating shades, and Jessica looked truly exquisite, and oh my goodness, her dress...look at all the detailing and it looked so romantic AND comfortable. Of course after a torrential downpour, the bonus is the unforgettable light that comes afterwards. Check out those amazing, dramatic images of the newlyweds by the Creek, simply breathtaking.

I'm lucky to have my studio in an amazing building filled with such good creative energy. I'm even luckier when I get an opportunity to work with a creative, stylish couple who appreciate this gorgeous space and its breathtaking, natural setting. These images capture Julia and Mikal perfectly...beautiful, sweet, thoughtful, fun and crazy in love. And what can I say about Derek Hui Photography....wow...these images blew me away. Hands down, one of my favourites! PHOTOGRAPHY: Derek Hui CATERING: La Cantina MAKEUP & HAIR: Elanna Percherle DJ: Marvelle Events We kicked off the wedding season on Easter weekend with a beautiful, intimate family wedding at Terrace on the Green Restaurant to celebrate Julia and Grahams nuptials. The restaurant was furnished in traditional deep cherry wood so we created arrangements of Spring flowers in soft tones of ivory, pink and peach with pops of burgundy.
Getting to know Julia and her sweet mum throughout the planning process was such a pleasure. And what a lovely surprise to get to work with darling Jacqueline from InJoy Imagery once again, she has a magical touch behind the lens and always makes everything look extra pretty and feminine. Kaili and Tyler got married on a perfect Fall day at Cambium Farms. So grateful for the opportunity to work with an amazing couple and such a great team of wedding vendors. This one was truly spectacular. A very special thank you to: Lustre Events- Styling and Co-Ordination Marianne Rothbauer- Photography Cambium Farms- Venue Daniel and Daniel- Catering We headed into the city for Eugenia and Tommy's gorgeous wedding at Malaparte, the event space on the 6th floor of the TIFF Bell Lightbox. The festivities started with a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony celebrated amongst the couple's immediate family and friends. Bridal portraits were taken in bustling Kensington Market, busy with weekend shoppers, tourists and....zombies, enroute with other deadites and ghouls to the city's annual Zombie Walk and Halloween Parade. Loved the modern and whimsical colour combination of the yellow flowers, green succulents, gray berries and foliage. It was nice change of pace and scenery to set up this wedding on this gorgeous terrace with Toronto's iconic city skyline as it's backdrop. Congrats to the happy couple! xo Such a great team of wedding vendors who worked together on this beautiful wedding: Styling and co-ordination: The Event Room Photography: Naomi Studios Tassel Garlands: Genie Woo Guest Favours: Toronto Popcorn Company Samantha Erin Photography captured these beautiful images of Hilary and James' wedding last summer at Hilary's parents horse farm near Hockley Valley. The lush gardens on the property were in full bloom and were the perfect backdrop for their ceremony which took place under a birch arbour by the pond. There were so many thoughtful details included in the celebration- horsehoes tied to a gate doubled as escort cards and guest favours, the wooden treehouse nicknamed the "Honeymoon Suite" was dressed up with a whimsical garland of amaranthus, garden roses and seeded eucalyptus and my absolute favourite, a guest appearance by Jack the Donkey, for the family portraits. Such a gorgeous wedding in the most perfect of settings!
When a wedding planner plans her own wedding, the results are destined to be spectacular. Caryn Leith, prinipcal planner at As You Weddings , , , put together the prettiest details for her September wedding at Cambiums Farms. Blooms in peach and ivory highlighted with pops of yellow, were designed in silver mercury vases and slate vessels in deep charcoal. I loved all the shiny, sparkly details in her amazing gown and the chunky, statement necklaces worn by her bridesmaids. The barn was all glammed up with silver Chivari chairs, textural linens and a gorgeous chandelier that was hung overhead. My favourite details were displayed in the niche shelves by the dance floor where Caryn placed thoughtful momentoes of South Africa, her birthplace and the spot where Tony proposed. Here she placed maps, photos of their travels and brass figures of South Africa's Big Five, the country's greatest wild animals- the lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino. In keeping with the theme, I tucked in some exotic, native South African blooms- gorgeous King Protea, bright orange pin cushion flowers and silver, brunia berries which were also prominent in her beautiful bouquet. Congrats Caryn and Tony, you guys definitely took Rustic Glam to the next level!!! More details of this gorgeous weddings were featured on the Wedding Obsession blog. They wanted their nuptials to feel like an intimate, backyard celebration where food was the focal point and the tablescapes were enhanced with simple, natural blooms. Anthony's catering company, La Cantina, oversaw the planning, decor and catering details for the wedding. Have a peek at the some of the delectable treats the guests enjoyed, that dessert table is to die for! And you have to love a wedding where your sweet pups can join in the festivities. In lieu of traditional bonbonnieres, the couple made a donation to an Animal Rescue organization, a special cause close to their hearts. Thank you Anthony Patrick Manieri for the stunning imagery, those shots in the field behind the barn are breathtaking! |
